Default Converting to shocks on a LS400

Hi guys I am new to the forum.

I have a 1997 Lexus LS400 and it has air suspension but I want to convert it to struts and shocks using the suspension of a 1994 Lexus LS400 can this be done??

One of the airbags is broken and that part is way to expensive.

Please let me know if you guys can help a newbie out.

Greeting to everyone,

Api

Yes it will all swap right over but you will need the mounts and everything. I feel your pain 600$ a piece rear and 1200$ a piece for the front is just too much. You will need to turn the wheels to the opposit side of the car to remove the front shocks(no struts FYI).

Welcome to Club Lexus.

The suspension in the 1-LS is shorter by about 2". I cannot recall if anybody has swapped them between the later gen but just as a head's up.

For some reason I thought the OP said 90' not 97. It will bolt up fine but it will also be shorter like stated above.

gahh PD or RA please change the title to "shocks" not "struts" as it really irks me.

Thanks Mike
