Anyway the car started right up afterwards but it is running kind of rough and the VSC light popped on. I'll give it a couple of days to dry out good and see what happens.
Good ole' pressure wash. Reset the ecu after drying all night. Should be fine. I'm convinced it's just a bad idea, especially on a 14(+) year old car.

I just recently had my lower pan resealed. Had a slow seep. $150.00 Worth every penny.

When you say resealed, do you mean that you paid someone $150 to put a new gasket on the oil pan or is it something else?

Funny, I power washed my engine twice and hit every last corner with no issue. Guess I won't press my luck any further after this thread.

The neutral safety switch is in the box attached to the AT and water is passing through there when the engine is washed by plenty of water with chemicals. The box is originally waterproofed but an aged box tends to loose the good capability of it and also some chemicals damage the sealing.
Just so this does not get lost in the list of suggestions.

fipg = Form In Place Gasket (aka Permatex) - something that the cowboy is not a fan of (unless you are a robot at the Lexus factory in Japan, then it's fine)

I say use a Fel-Pro gasket, then you won't accidentally squeeze the excess into your transmission or oil pan!

Or a semi-competent and patient mechanic.
