So, I think I saw a picture of somebody else on here that did this to their car. It's not finished, but this picture will give you the overall look of it. I'm going to take some of that urethane filler stuff and round of the edges of each side, so it doesn't look like I just took a saw to it. Hopefully later this year there will be a nice intercooler behind the bumper to fill in the empty space.

Anyway, What do you guys think of the overall look of it?

I was expecting it to look a lot worse haha, It's not bad but I would've personally waited until I had my intercooler installed

I thought about waiting, but I'm trying to get some fresh paint on it soon. Trying to finish up any body work, and mods before paint. I'm also thinking about putting a set of Z34 Lumina vents on the hood. Still trying to decide if I would like the look or not.

I'm not sure about those vents. However, I've wondered how cool our cars would look with Mercedes hood vents with the 3 integrated washer nozzles grafted to our hoods.

An intercooler??? Does that mean you are going to boost? I dont know about putting an intercooler in there JUST for looks... If thats what you are planing on doing I would advice against it and maybe making a 2nd smaller grill down there? Maybe billet grill on top and smaller one on the cut out you just did. I am about to cut my bottom part of the bumper too but I will be retrofitting fogs just like the UK style front bumper.

Yes sir, it will be boosted later this year. I'm planning on running a procharger setup. An intercooler for looks isn't really my thing. lol I'm going to run a longer, but short intercooler to fit the opening in the bumper. I don't want to cut into the bumper support.

Oh ok good, yea I was just hoping you werent doing that just for cosmetic look. Sounds like a sweet set up! I dont know if youll be able to fit it under the support bar, maybe if its a small profile one that will produce enough air for that charger.

I saw one online that was about 6-7inches by about 36inches wide and about 3.5 inches thick. I'm thinking something about that size will work pretty good. If not, there is a shop here in town called Stage 6 performance, and they can fab up a custom size for me. They do nothing but outragous turbo setups. My goal would be to have around 300-350whp. I would be very happy with that in a daily driver.

Glad I'm not the only one who has thought of doing this. Looks pretty good to me. I have a 97 LS and while they are completely different, I think the outcome would be similar.

I will be starting a build thread here soon. I keep posting up different threads for everything I do to it, but I think I will have enough done here soon for a build thread.

Some might not like it, but I think it looks pretty darn good. It changes/updates the whole front end of the car, IMO. I'll take some pics here in a little while and post them up. Once I have the edges cleaned up, it should look like it came that way. I'll probably put some kind of mesh behind it for now.

i wonder how it would look with the bumper that comes with the fog lights in it and a lip with little vents (not sure what models came with it)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think those only came on the euro spec models. I would love to find one of those lips. I don't really care too much for the fog lights, but the lip would be pretty cool. If I could find one, it will most likely cost an arm and a leg to purchase + the shipping to the states.
