Default windshield wiper fluid.

I have had the low wash fluid light come on consistently for the last two years. I know it is full and doesn't leak so I have concluded it is the sensor and have not bothered fixing it until now. It now dings every time I go over a bump or gutter, I am interested to know has anyone ever changed that sensor, where is it even located, and how difficult it is to get to the reservoir. The part is 70 from the dealer so I think it's time to fix it.

What year is the LS in question?

My '99 had a similar issue. What happens is that the float in the washer tank absorbs the fluid and doesn't float anymore. I'm pretty good about checking fluids so I just unplugged the sender from under the tank. Doing that turns the error light off.

Unplugging solves the issue eh?

Every so often mine came on when it got real cold. When it was on a lift i unplugged it and cleaned out the terminal and it went off. Warm weather I've never had a problem.

easiest way to get to it is to unbolt the plastic covers on the front driver's side (in front of the front left wheel) and reach up behind the fog light.
