Default Help asap-guide pin broke

ok well when changing brakes pads i broke my brake caliper/guide pin in half,so half of the guide pin is still in the brake pad bracket,question is how do i get that part out of the bracket thats still in their? i seen they sell the guide pins at the store so got to replace this asap,any help please,this our family daily

Wow you have broken a guide pin!It must have been seized solid.
I guess the easiest solution is to buy a used caliper carrier bracket, the only other option is to drill a hole in the other end and then attempt to knock out the remains of the pin with a drift, although if it is seized even this may not be sucessful and you will damage the dust seal in the process.
Drilling the remains out would be very difficult if at all possible you need to be very accurate to avoid damaging the hole and the pins are hardened steel and even then you cannot be sure all the remains have been removed completely.

Wow ok so i guess buying a whole new bracket from auto zone with new guide pins is the solution

Ok i had bought a new brack pad bracket and guide pins, but the guide pin is not going into the brack hole?? I tryed forcing in there and even hamering it in but didnt want to brake the bracket,is there a certain way i got to put the duide pin in?????????? Im so lost

The caliper slide pins should do just that into the holes, slide, easily in with little effort, certainly not requiring a hammer!
It sounds like you either have the wrong bracket or more likely the wrong sized pins.
The old pin you got out in one piece, have you tried that in the new bracket?
Where did you buy the parts from?
