Default Leatherique Project: 1993 LS400

I have noticed a lack of real leather conditioning from off the shelf products. After doing extensive research on leather conditioning, I have embarked on a leather project on the UCF11 '93 LS400.

Step 1: Leatherique rejuvenating oil (24 hours out in the sun)
Step 2: Leatherique Pristine Clean

and then the final step, an extra-conditioning step - ordered Gliptone Liquid Leather (primarily used in the UK).

Let you all know how it turns out.

Probably made a small difference. When I tried that I put it on put plastic trash bags to keep it from drying off too soon in the hot summer sun. The leather in these early cars have so much poly protection on them the stuff wont penetrate.

Hope his went better.

i've seen some nice results with stuff like this in the past. biggest difference, iirc, was that it made the leather far more supple, lessening some minor cracks and reduced a little fading was also soon... i'll see if i can find the the link on another forum to what i am talking about.

Doing the rejuvenator for 48 hours due to less than hot winter temps. The sun is out, so the steam-room effect was initiated by blasting the heater for a while and then leaving in the sun. I also massaged the oil on the seats again this morning, the oil has reduced to a "single" layer so it looks like it is being absorbed somewhat. I'll post results tomorrow after I've done Step 2.

I noticed the dried areas of the leather are starting to soften up and the already-soft areas are even better. I chose to leave the rejuvenator oil another day after doing touch up in extreme areas with the oil, hand-rubbing.

Did Stage 2 today. Leather does feel a lot more supple and rehydrated. The dried areas while not 100% still had progress. I'll give the gliptone a try when the weather dries up (10 days of rain en route!)

if you have a covered place to park your car, you should leave your windows cracked during the rain. the moisture in the air is good for the leather as well.

I highly recommed leatherique! Used it on my cars with very nice results.
A leather brush is a nice combo to clean up the leather and let the solution penetrate.
After the process i use 303 protectant to spray the leather and dash
