Default 1996 LS400 engine cutting out

My mechanic can't seem to find out why my LS400 cuts out , for example, when I slow for a sharp corner or at the lights, or in slow traffic. It only happens after I have been travelling for some distance at speed, i.e. the engine is warm and I've been driving about 80- 100km per hour, and for an hour or more
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks for any advice!

Welcome to Club Lexus.

Any dash lights? Get the car plugged in to read any diagnostic codes. Far to many possibilities to being with. Fuel system, ignition, ECU...

Thanks Mike for your response,
The agents in wellington tried all that. First they said everything was fine, and when they test drove it, no problems. But they think now it's something to do with lack of oxygen, and have ordered a very expensive part from Japan, but actually aren't sure that's what the problem is.

That issue happened to me for years with a 1995 LS400. Did you ever fix the problem?
It seems using the shift to use the gear shift slowing down helps me somewhat…

Reminds me of a problem someone I know had same kind of thing sharp corner at street lights, problem happens, turned out to be the knock sensor of all things, this wasn't a Lexus though so it was different. Could be different things so its going to be all about finding a good diagnostic technician. Could certainly be ECU very easily, just a matter of pin pointing the problem.
