i have a 94 ls 400 ucf10 - australian spec

does anyone konw how to remove the complete ashtrayt assy with the wood grain ??

i need to service the cig lighter - which only works interemiiently

If only removing the ashtray does the trim around the shifter still have to be removed or can the ashtray be pulled from the two clips without removing the trim?

 

The shifter trim is a snap to remove and it does make it easier to take out ashtray. Just use both hands and pull it forward. May need alittle force.

 

thanks! I just didn't want to risk damaging the trim if it wasn't necessary to remove it. I appreciate the info.

 

Use a wallpaper scraper with some insulation tape wrapped about 10mm from the end to ease up the shifter trim and prise out the ashtray.
