I recently bought a '94 LS400. The PO said he had the front struts replaced few weeks ago. I just noticed today that the front driver side suspension is about 1/2" lower than passenger side. Is this normal?

 

with it being such a heavy car, v8, etc, it is possible you have a sagging spring on the drivers side. is the PO a big guy? was the PO before the PO a big guy (which i doubt you could or would know) another situation, could be an improperly seated spring in the hat on the passenger side. also, check the tire pressure in the rear tires....

 

Both PO's are not large or heavy and tire pressures are okay.

The car has 176000 miles so it could be possible a sagging LF springs or RF springs not properly seated. Well, I will be replacing the springs in couple of months. I will probably buy the Tanabe springs. I'm looking to lower the car semi-aggressive between 1.5" - 2.0". What do you recommend (springs only)?

 

I have the same exact issue with my recent purchase. I was planning on dealing with it until the coils come in. If there continues to be an issue there after, I will take the next steps.

never dealt with lowering springs, i went strait to coil overs for fine tuned height adjustability. i highly recommend JIC Magic. ive also seen decent results with Megans as well.

now a sagging rear spring will cause the opposing front side appear different, more than the spring on that certain wheel itself.

 

Yes this is typical. None of these cars on stock springs sit evenly due the weight differences at each corner. Only way to dial out the differences is with adjustable coils.
