Interesting.. Have you tried another scanner? On the DLC connector, on pins 16 and 4, what's the voltage reading?
Yeah I have tried two different scanners and the computer at the testing station. If you're referring to the under dash port I don't have anything for 16 or 4. I have constant power on the first pin though (top left)

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. I switched the relay with the one next to it, AC compressor I believe, and it made no difference. I found a pinout for the ECU so I'm going to check it. I assume it should be getting power when it's off to store the memory? And yes, the PO had the starter and alternator replaced recently. No aftermarket alarm ever from what I can tell.
Can you post up some live data when that happens? Need more information. Find a scanner that can read live data.
As for the pic, the first pin is pin #16, should have source voltage. And on the bottom, pin 4 and pin 5 are grounds, one is for the chassis and the other is for the DLC itself.
