Default New member, Need help no power.

Ok i just picked up a 94 ls400 with 90,000 on the car but there is a issue with it. It has no power at all if i press the gas in it just boggs down with cel on. So i did some research on this site and it sounded like maybe i had clogged cats so i just gutted all 3 of them but nothing ,then i tried to pull some codes from the ecu and it would not work.
So i cleared the ecu by doing the pulling of the egi fuse and it drove fine idle was a little low but power was back 100% but after it warmed up for about 15-20 min it died and then i turned it back on and cel is on and no power again. So any help have you guys had this issue before and if so what was it? I am going to try to find a ecu to so if that helps. Thanks guys for any help.

ur driver side ignition coil is also another culprit.

i have a perfectly working one for $30 shipped and paypaled..

once Trukn1 chimes in, he'll tell you lol, he had the same problem and it was the coil.

that's not diagnosing that's machine-gunning new parts into it and hoping.

did you actually try reading the codes?

Yes like i said i tried to get a code but it would no flash just stay on. I put the wire in te1 and e1 put car in neutral and turned of a/c and nothing . The car does seem like it is in limp mode and from what i gathered is a o2 can cause that but that does not tell me why i cant pull a code.
Plus in closed loop mode after i reset the ecu the car drove great so if it was a coil, spark wires or plugs you would think it would misfire or have some other issue .

so instead of replacing EVERYTHING that could be wrong with it, why not just try the ECU first....since that's the part most likely to be ****ed if you can't pull a code.

Unplug your AFM and see if the car runs.

How very wrong you are since when my coils went up, I got no CEL, just low power and gas smell.
