Pinstripes on LS 400
I recognize that my reply is about a year late, but maybe it will help others with the same question!

I have an LS 400 with hand painted pinstripes and I like them. They break up the large area of bodywork on a car, which seems particularly large on white one. The stripes were on it when I bought it and have faded a bit, so I will shortly have them redone. I've attached a couple of photos so that you can get the general idea.

Hope this helps.

If you look closely I think you will find that your stripes are tape and not painted. The dealer installed Lexus tape stripes were very high quality and I've always assumed that they were made by the same company.

My 2000 LS400 Platinum had the same stripes although they were applied a little higher. If you look closely you can seem them in this photo. I removed them shortly after I took this photo in 2003 about the time I sold the 90 LS400 parked next to it.

Nice looking LS! I have looked very closely and mine are painted. The artist put his or her own trademark on the trunk lid - a tiny pair of footprints! Don't know whose work it was, but probably someone in Daytona. There are a lot of artisans there because of the huge number of Harley Davidsons and custom cars in the area. I had tape ones on Acura Legends that I owned a few years ago. These are quite different, hence the fading.
