Default UCF20 99LS400 As anyone had this problem before?

I have a My car just last week was acting like it didnt want to turn on. It hesitated, it was weird, radio was trippin goin in and out thru the speakers but the head unit was still on lookin just fine. Headlights were on too, so I turned them off and the the radio was fine. I just replaced my altenator about 2months ago. Then yesterday it started doing it again. I noticed that it did it while sitting at a light. Rpms was around 400 or 500 or so. But when I started moving constently it was fine. Im confused and dont know wat to look at first. Anybody had a similar problem? Or might know wat it is?

The car is completly stock, no radio upgrades or anything.

check battery wires and condition, last place to concentrate is alternator as unless they get full of ATF from the PS, they're fine.

this was exactly what i was going through. you have a bad battery, change it out for a new one. i thought it was my starter or alternator going out but it turned out to be the battery. my battery light would come on and off whenever i bump my music. whenever i brake/come to a stop, my speakers would go crazy and make a popping sound. if anything, go get your alternator, starter, or battery checked at autozone for free.

Cables are good, already replaced my power steering line last year, then I replaced the altenator. No leaks now. I will have my battery looked at today tho. thanks PD.

The power steering is just above the alt on these. If the pump has not been replaced or rebuilt it will leak and drip into the alt and short it out. ALSO. The hoses to and from the PS reservoir also become brittle and drip into the alt if they have not been replaced. I have done 3 alts in the last 6months cause i could not see where it was leaking from. Finally after a bulletproof set of reservoir hoses I'm pretty confident it will be the last alt for a while.
ZERO_ONE did a write up on how to rebuild the pump, was actually my car used to do it.
