Default 99 ls400 headlight question.

New to the LS side of this forum, Picked up my 99 ls4 maybe 2 months ago, headlights were working fine. When the car is off, both headlights turn on just fine. When my car is running the driver headlight turns off for some reason, and doesent come back on. Dont think its a fuse because i think the passenger light would turn off as well. Any opinions? I checked all the wires as well.

ty in advance.

Assuming the headlights are HID, it could be a worn out bulb. HID bulbs sometimes light up intermittently as they fail. You could try switching the bulbs. eBay is a good place to buy OEM-type Phillips D2R bulbs. It could be something else but start by checking the bulb first.

Ok. Thanks. I'll check it out. But again, when my car is not running. They work just fine

Hello all, The RH of a 90 LS400 will not turn on/light. The fuses are good for both headlights and replacing the bulb didn't correct the issue. I have also manually tested all bulbs to ensure that they are good.
What else can i do?

Yeah I did. Although it probably won't solve your issue. After repeatedly checking my lights with the engine running. I noticed my ballasts were really hot. I remounted them nicely and put heat sinks under the ballast. Not sure if it was because it was too hot or how I had the ballast hanging around. But my issue was resolved.
