People have been telling me that my right headlight is turned off. So i turn the headlights off then back off and it comes back on, but very dimly. Does this mean my bulb is dying? and i need to replace it?? Can someon etell me what i need to do to fix this? thx I cant drive at night since my right headlight keeps turning off.... thxx

This happened to me as well. I took it to the dealer and they changed the bulbs out. They said it was the bulbs.

Very common occurrence. I've gone through 3-4 oem bulb and 2 pairs of aftermarkets. I wouldn't recommend turning the headlights on and off all the time. I've had one of my bulbs (the one that was failing like yours) actually shatter in my headlight housing. You should get them changed ASAP. I always have two pairs of d4s bulbs laying around just in case

Default was told that its either a bad bulb or ballast

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago too. Where the driver's side will turn on but then it will shut off a sec later. If I turn off my headlights and try again, it will do the same thing. I tried checking and replacing the fuses but that didn't fix
it.

Took my car to Lexus and it turned out that I had a bad D4S HID bulb. Lexus replaced free under warranty If you don't have warranty, my invoice say Lexus is charging $227.85 for the HID bulb and $31.48 for labor. So after tax and misc fee, grand total Lexus want for this is $281.50!!

Both my headlights are doing this. Could this be a battery issue?

Like many others on the board, I searched and found that new bulbs fixed the problem. Got a set of GARAX bulbs off eBay for around $80 shipped.

I had the same problem, the bulb was fried looking when I took it out and replaced it. I went aftermarket though. Bought a set of bulbs off of ddmtuning for like 60 bucks as opposed to the 300 the dealer wanted for just one bulb.

How easy is it to just switch out the bulbs? Sorry I'm asking before even taking a look myself.
