Default Megan Coilovers - 2 types to chose from?

I see that there are now two types of Megan coils, the "LP" and the new (to me) "EZ." Anyone know what the deal is here? The "EZ" unit seems to be about $200 less than the "LP."

LP is 32 way adjustable dampening when the EZ is 16 way adjustable dapening. LP made more for tracking while the EZ is made for street normal driving use!!!!

EZ has lower spring rate, less dampening adjustment and no pillowball

1st part is right, 2nd part is wrong.

the LP is valved to be a touch softer and uses proper pillowball upper mounts. rates are 12kg/mm front and 10kg/mm rear

the EZ is the "budget" coilover, uses a slightly stiffer base valving, and uses RUBBER/alum upper mounts. rates are 12kg/mm front and 8kg/mm rear

Default Megan LP vs EZ

I'm thinking of going with megan coils. How does the EZ series compair to the LP series? Wich one goes lower? Wich is best for the daily grind. If I get LP's then that'll be that. If I get EZ's ill be using em for about a year or 2 then changing out to BC's.

Platform - 90 LS400 w/ full interier.

The wheels will be ROTA 18x9.5 +35 all around. Not shure on the series of the ROTAs, just know they are a 6 apoke wheel.

just buy the LP, comparable in every sense to the BC. only reason to get BC is if you plan on putting the rear subframe on the pavement, as they go a little lower.

lol.. if you're looking to go "low", you'd want the LP's over the EZ's because if you get the EZ's like i did, you'll have to drop the preloads in the rear in order to be low. the rears maxed out on the EZ's is a two finger gap. the fronts however have no problem going low.

iirc, the LP's are the opposite of the EZ's. fronts can't slam but rears can. either way, the solution to this would be to drop the preloads. or you can avoid that by getting other coils beside megans.

both EZ's and LP's are soft. they have the same 12k F / 8k R spring rate. i bottom out everywhere and i'm slammed.

^that's with 4cm of droop of the springs in the rear.

LP drops slightly lower out back and is a bit more refined, the EZ are explained above. i too believe the springs rates are too soft esp if you mess with the preload. why not save up a bit more now, and just get the BCs?!

uhh idk where you guys get your info from, but the LPs and the EZs share the same rear mount design, both will slam the front and drop the rear pretty low.

the difference comes in valving and material choice.

idk what the difference really is between the lp and ez, but i have the LPs maxed out and its alright. kinda soft since the spring rates arent the best, but it gets me pretty low i think. haha uca knocking on the shock tower here and there. lol
