This has been answered but I forget the exact answer. Something along the lines it will fit, but there are differences. I don't know squat about automatic transmissions so reading the differences was like trying to read Chinese for me.

It was a post on here and I'm having a hard time finding it. From my understanding the physical dimensions were the same but the electronics and some kind of auto transmission part, maybe valve body, were different.

I'm curious if there are any connection differences between OBDI and OBDII.

will bolt on, but won't work right.

plus you'll have multiple CELs. and will fail emissions.

use www.car-part.com and find a proper '95 or '96 trans.

I can't see how this would work because the electrical connectors for the vehicle options wouldn't be the same as what would be on a Lexus. Also, are you completely sure that the transmission is toasted? Sometimes it may need a component replaced or just need a good thorough cleaning

I think I would check the codes and find out for sure.... and if you buy one, match up all the plugs and wiring..

i've told you already, no.

find a '95-97 LS400 trans....

that 30-40LE/AW4 trans isnt an A340E anyways, it's an A340F. whole different shebang.

Yes it's definitely toast It's making a loud noise grinding whining. It's throwing codes for solenoid but man with the noise it's making I think it's gone.

may want to look into a transmission rebuild kit.... i'd much rather rebuild a tranny than goign out and buying a used tranny which may have the same problem in the future....

just my 2 cents.

mainly becuase these are all decade or older trannys now... if your talking about a fairly new one fine... but as of now rebuild may be a better option. IMO.
