the trunk liner has nothing to do with either the coilover install or the high mount stop light.... gather yourself and reword your question.

you dont need to take it out, but it comes out from inside the car......

if you dont know what you are doing, do a search, and see what others have done..
do a little reading and find out the tricks...

reading the stickies will help you a LOT....

the rear shock mounts (i'm assuming that's actually what you're aiming for...) are accessible from inside the car, after taking the rear seats out and lifting the rear deck (after removing the subwoofer cover, not the high mount stoplight). you can't access the mounts at all from the trunk.

searching and the FAQ will help.

pop up the rear seat bottom. unbolt the rear back rest (hidden bolts near the head rests). then you'll see covers for the strut mount. remove that and you can get to the nuts for the strut mount. you don't have to take out the rear shelf or subwoofer. pretty simple

use some wd-40 and let it soak than use a breaker bar if you have an impact even better

so i got the 2 rears all good to go. but the fronts are even tighter!! lol. snapped a wrench and couple extenders. i might just have to take it to the shop for the fronts, i sprayed the **** out of it with WD-40 nd let it soak for an hour and smacked it with a hammer also to maybe loosen something up. but nothing.

PD has his charms.

Let the penetrant soak in then have another go. Short of that, these big bolts/nuts do get pretty stiff over the years. An impact gun does wonders. Laying on your back or on your knees in a driveway is a difficult position to get good leverage.
