I think I found that cover while searching for something else. Looks like it sits above the strut bar and the stabilizer bar goes through, or next to, it. Check out pic in step #3. Is that it? http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/trans...ransflush.html
Hard to say for sure. I looked under mine didn't see that at all. Looked at diagram and parts again and it don't seem to me thats it.
The part seems to be facing the other way on the lexls photo and no opening for sway bar to pass thru.
I sent a letter to sewell and they sent me a diagram from manual i already have but don't show that part. Wrote them back haven't heard back yet.
Here are some pics of what i have. Held on by button pin and a metal clip not in photo.
Will have to wait till thursday to really double check under car. next day off.
just in responce to everyone harping on me bout my spelling.. i know i cant spell for crap, but as long as you understand what im saying, thats all that rilly matters. most males cant spell worth a crap anyway. also im mainly on this sight on my phone not the computer, so typos happen and dont get corrected cuz i dont have a spell checker on my phone. and even if i did, im not going to spell check everything i say.

Yes, thank you for your service. I just hope it wasn't paperwork you did in the NAVY. Just kiddin' there bud. Don't get offended by what people say, we all bust ***** once in a while. Ya just need to get used to everyone's personality, it's hard to tell with the computor. It's just that most people here, myself included, get mad with the youngsters joining and typing out text abbreveations, this is a mature car forum. Congrats on your purchase a couple weeks ago and welcome to CL.
Well mystery solved. These two covers are located on top of the bar the holds the strut rods. In this photo taken from the passenger side you can see the bottom of the cover. has foam pads along side of cover. Held up the cover i bought and its a perfect match. You would have to take a lot off to get to it on the front end. Guess i will have to return the parts.
Funny, my car doesn't have any covers underneath it. Why on earth do they even put them on? To make more work for you when you change your oil?
They are there to stop all the dirt, dust, sand, snow, and flying objects out of the engine bay. Keeps the engine clean so when ya work on it you can see what you're doing. In my area of the country I'm glad they're on there b/c of the bad snow storms we get here. The bottom cover works like a skid on a snowmobile when we get 3 feet of snow.
massive aerodynamic benefit, reduction in drag, increase in economy and apparent accel at highway speeds.
Hey BrettJacks, maybe ^^^^ that's why you have bad mileage. Nah, I don't think it would matter too much with city driving. But it would still keep that little bit of snow out.
