Kinda fast points toward low, or no, compression. Did the timing belt snap? How was it running before, and is there any engine codes? Try pulling the codes and post them. http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html

If the T-belt did snap you would probably have a code. (multiple) But to check you will have to remove one of the upper timing covers. The drivers side is easiest. Use steps 11, 14, 15, in this tutorial; http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/ignition/sparkplugs.html

nope....Captian Obvious just decided to walk past your door.
he has missed my house from time to time....sometimes when I drive away, I see him in the rearview going with a sigh that says....sorry I missed you
I agree though...sounds like the timing belt..........or more so the tensioner if it didnt get replaced when the belt was done a year ago.

Even if it was changed it could still be bad. I had one that only lasted 14K miles. When I took it off it wasn't out far enough and I couldn't even push the rod back in with a vice. It's easy enough to see if ya have a problem with the belt, just pull off a timing cover and see if the belt is still there. If it's in one piece, take the other cover off and see if all the timing marks line up.
