Do you have a link to the intake on their site? Is it the Injen performance intake?

I'm planning on doing a custom intake like the one in this thread;
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...the-works.html
However, I may add a K&N filter and a smooth intake tube like the one Injen sells to compliment the setup.

The site lists two intakes;

Rod Millen Motorsport
http://www.lextasy.com/ls400_rmm_intake_1333_prd1.htm

Injen
http://www.lextasy.com/lexus_sc430_i..._1457_prd1.htm.

Which one are you considering, the RMM?

Also a Minnesotan, where are you from? I could probably build you an intake and charge you half of what they charge.

lextasy is utter crap. search for their reputation on this forum.

also, the RMM has been discontinued for AGES and neither it nor the injen are at all better than stock. they pull in HOT air from the engine bay and are basically a purely cosmetic modification. also, generally filter worse than stock as well.

That was my understanding as well.

I've read that the OEM filter box assembly was very well designed and the only improvement to be made was to get more air (not hot air) into the system.
