Default Front cat removal

Greetings. Is there room to get the front right cat off without removing any other part of the exhaust system? (This is on a '96). Looks like the pipe out of the rear of the cat would have to come back 1/2" or so.

If not, what would be the best procedure here.

This is in regard to replacing the EGR pipe, for which I will write up a tutorial here if I can get it done.

The rear of the cat is attached with 2 nuts and bolts but the front cat to downpipe is 3 studs and nuts, all will be a problem to remove normally involving cutting the nuts and bolts out and then possibly breaking one or more of the studs.
The problem is pulling the cat off the studs and this is where you may need to remove some or all of the exhaust system to have the room to do this.
I would personally let an exhaust shop do the job,if anything does break it's their problem not yours.

Thanks Steve. I undid the 4 out of 5 nuts/bolts ok to make a start on this, but when I saw that the flange (at least the rear one) was actually a pipe inserted into another pipe, I wasn't sure I could get the thing off even if I did get the last bolt off. I put it all back for the wife next week to drive.

I can see though, that even with the cat off, this EGR pipe is going to be a royal pita. I sort of need a 180 u-bend socket extension to undo the lower egr nuts, as they stick upwards from below.
