one of my old honda mechanics told me this one day when i was running my car without a muffler for a day while i was messing with the exhaust. from doing a little research on it now, they'res not hard data that i have found that proves this. some people think its a mith thinking that people just wanted something to blame bent exhaust valves on. but id rather be safe then sorry.

other notes, i think changing the length of your headers will change your power band but does changing the length of your exhaust do the same?

the bent exhaust crap is bs, and misinformation.

no, changing exhaust length alone doesnt really effect powerband.

sounds like the kind of mechanic who will let you know when your exhaust bearing needs to be replaced

Haha, I don't know how someone could think that exhaust back pressure could cause an engine's valves to bend.
