Removing rear exhaust boxes

Wow PD super control !!
I'm impressed !!
As PD said common mod, on mine I have gone up to a 3" pipe from the last join and then 4" dumps on the end with almost no increase in noise from inside the cabin.

Another option.... take a peek under your car. If you took 2 minutes to look you'll see that there is one clamp and one rubber hanger per muffler and they are off.

I tried yankin mine off last week but I couldn't get the right size socket to fit over the 10mm nut on the clamp. Didn't want to mess up the nut, and then I realized any old nut will do if I want to put them back on! I shall give it another go today. Unfortunately the lip on the clamp makes it a big tough to get a good grip with some pliers.

spray some PB Blaster in there a night before, then loosen them and start pounding the pipe with a rubber mallet lightly, take down the rubber exhaust hangars, then TWIST each assembly back and forth to get it off the center pipe.
it's a ROYAL PAIN to do it under a car ala jack+jackstands, if possible borrow a lift at some shop
