Nope - those were my photos of the right front of the car after removing the air filter
I'll look left front, by bumper, for the relays tonight

Saga update -
"Local" mechanic who is good with electrical couldn't find the problem after 3 days
Brought to dealer - $175 to diagnose problem. Also air conditioning quit and power steering pump leaking. Dealer says 2k to fix all - I say ok if it will get me to 300k miles (car has 280k now). One week later I am still driving the loaner - the high light switch they thought was the problem ... isn't.
Would love to get to 300k miles but .....

the high light switch wouldnt be the problem. its the dlr relay.
if you look at the wiring diagram, you will see the that the final point of power distribution is the dlr relays, and then before that....the relay behind the glove box. the problem is very easy to see.
the the fact that the "glovebox" relay has power, means that the whole circut is working, including getting power from the high switch. and how do I know the the "glovebox relay" has power ? because 1 of your dlr's are working, and the other one isnt. if they were both in-op, then the problem would begin elsewhere.
if my 91 had dlr's, I would personally go hunt the relay down, take my own car apart to get them, pull 1 of the relays, and take a pic of ....1 dlr on and the other in-op.
I hope the dealer gets it figured out for you soon.
good luck
did you atleast get a nice loaner?

so, say you cough up the $1500 for a new ecm, and you still have a dlr in-op..........what are they going to then?
the whole wiring harness next?
at this rate, the money you spend to get this right......might as well call it even for the down payment and just keep the loaner.......
sorry, just trying to add a lil lol to the situation

Good fun -
I may just send my car to auction and get $1500 - then look at other options
