but for a first gen, how do you adjust stiffness on the rear coil overs??
do you haveto pull up the rear deck or something its the only thing that makes sense to me
i dont have coil overs but i plan on getting them, and this has just been bugging me since i thought of this

You need to remove the rear seats in order to get to the adjustment for the rear coilovers. If the seats have never been removed before it can kinda be a P.I.T.A.
But nothing you should be afraid of. Just takes some mucsle. Hope this helps!

Lol well I guess you could do it that way. I have my dampening set to 0 out of 32 on all 4 corners. If you don't want to scrape all the time on everything it helps to have the stiffest Setup possible. No lie on really crappy roads its a little annoying but still totally livable.

Just cut openings in the rear deck cover with a razor blade, and fold cut portion back allowing access to top of rear struts. Then fold back down when done. Use velcro to keep said flaps closed. Done and done. This will eliminate the removal of the rear seat. Good luck.

Just drive around the block a few times without rear seats, once you figure out what setting you prefer, re-install the rear seats. Done.

Its not like you will be adjusting them all the time.

I have seen some longer adjustment *****, that let you make a hole for the stalk through the rear deck, and make adjustments without removing anything.

yeah....a lot of us slit the rear deck with a razor (you dont even have to make an actual opening) then run an extension through on each side, and that way we can adjust the stiffness through the rear deck even when everything's closed up and in place.
