Default throttle body open

I try to diagnose my 94 ls400 but the throttle body is open. How to close the throttle body

if you have traction control, the first butterfly valve is supposed to be open. it runs off of a solinoid.

the valve that stays open, only closes when the car detects a loss of traction. it closes to lower the power output to regain traction. what are you trying to "diagnose"?

The check engine light. The repair manual say make sure the throttle body close to do the dianose

they are referring to the one controlled by the gas pedal.

So that one gon be close till I press the gas pedal? I'm trying to see why the check engine light not blanking when I connect the terminals. I thought the valve was open

your tps might be out of adjustment. the one for the throttle, not traction control. there are 2 tps's. the one closest to the middle of the engine bay is the one id check.

I clean throttle body it wasn't that dirty I sprayed it and wipe it clean. The part where the throttle body connect to was dirty I was wondering if I have to clean in there. I'm gon hook it back up when I get some meters

Yes, clean inside there as much as you can. If you have the throttle body off, I don't know why you would but, it's easier and you're able to get in there and get alot of that garbage out of there.
