Starting with the 93 they also made the change from a single piston to a dual piston system for the front brakes.

The hood struts on my '91 LS aren't holding too well either. How much were they, and did you go OEM or aftermarket?

I bought OEM struts for around 70.00 each. If I had it to do over, I think I would have checked with any other source. I am picky about sticking with OEM parts, because my mech told me he would not work on any Lexus that did not stick with OEM. He said he had many come-backs and failures when using non OEM parts. I generally agree with him, but on hood struts, I would think this would not be a big deal.

Fellas,

For the hood struts, if you want Lexus OEM, these guys sell OEM parts http://lexuspartsmall.com/ ,,, but most people here say to call Steve Ganz at Carson Toyota http://l-tunedparts.com/ he takes good care of Club Lexus people.
