Default Help !! LS400 purchase choice Platinum - Premium - Base

I have found three cars, one of them is coming home.

1. 2000 Platinum Black/Tan w/Nak no nav or EAS 40k miles $16,000
5 miles away

2. 2000 Premium Black 2 Tone/Tan 50k miles $12,500
60 miles away

3 1999 Base Dark saphire Red/Tan 45k miles $13,500
300 miles away

Which should I chose?

Best advice I can give is to test drive it before you make a decision to buy it. Those all have very low miles on the odometer, which could mean that the car has been sitting for extended periods of time (not good). Also check out the service history by getting the VIN for each car and going to drivers.lexus.com

Number two would be the best choice if everything checks out OK. It is the best priced out of the three. The first one is way too high and the third one is too far away for a year older and 5,000 less miles. If two does not work out then I would go to 3 then to 1.

all are overpriced, if one has had the timing belt done (Age is also a factor, not just mileage) then buy that.

you havent mentioned anything about service history or the like

IMO, all 3 of those prices are LS430 territory, especially the first one.....I see "01-03" LS430s for those prices all the time in the NYC area....but that 2000 with 50k for 12,000 seems like the best deal out of those 3.......

Default Thanks, I bought a 2002 GS300 70k for 10k

I went a different way, found a one owner GS300 in the gold color which i love. Good color for my country roads. It has the nav/levinson and 16" chrome wheels.

It has had all the service done at the dealer and had the timing belt & water pump done at 6 years in 2008. I got all the service records and the maintenance book stamped by the dealer based on months instead of mileage.

So far so very good
