Tach quit after Throttle Body Cleaning
So my 96 ls threw a "left bank too rich" code the other day. I cleaned the throttle body and fixed the code. Now my tach doesn't work. Is this just a coincidence? Any ideas of what I might have done?
thanks in advance

My Tac and speedometer both will flat line for up to 5 minutes in the morning. then jump into action, other than feeding them coffee, has anyone experienced this on a '99 ls400? If so what was the fix

Tach
thermactor writes the same thing everytime someone needs help with the tach or speedometer. I have a 1990 ls400 w/ 85k miles and the tach and speedometers move about 1/4 inch that's all. And appearently there is no remedy for it. I'm still waiting for a legit advice.

-open the gauge cluster and carefully grab the tach needle by its base
-pull outward until you feel or hear a little pop (or as much as you feel comfortable with)
-without letting go move the needle clockwise until you hear another light pop
-without letting go move the needle back to zero
-let go and it should stay there
-now move the needle up and let go, it should fall back to zero
This is what I did on mine and it has been working fine since (knock on wood).
