step one might be to call the dealer and see if the motor for the dr door is the same part number as the motor for the rear dr side door. if so, one might suppose that they are identical. but i've never done a window motor swap like this.

I don't know if the motors themselves are identical in the front vs. rear doors, but I would imagine that they are. The dealer WILL tell you that you cannot just change the motor and that you will have to change the whole assembly as they WILL tellyou that it is one piece; BUNK!!! I had my driver side motor go out a few years back on what was the COLDEST day of the year. Dealer wanted $500 just to fix it and it would take a week to order it. Went to my local bone yard, picked one up for like $35 bucks and installed; fine ever since. Savings,,, $465 dollars and 1 week. Losses,,,feeling in my fingers and about 2.5 hours that day as I had to keep stopping to re-warm my hands. The motor itself CAN be replaced. You will most likely have to check your local bone yard for one tho as I havent run across a single dealer yet who will sell you just the motor.

another option is to take the parts to a glass replacement place hand have them install. i did this on a buick, replacing the motor and the window mechanism. they charged me $60 if memory serves. they take doors apart all the time. it was a cinch for them.

Front & rear motors are different, at least they are different part numbers.
Front is either 1 of 2: 85720-50010 or 85720-50030 depends on production date. Rear motor is 85710-50020 hope this helps
