hey wassup guys whenever i go over bumps or something of that nature my car starts to wooble from side to side a lot. i dont know what it is but its really scary, any input? also i think it may be the shocks or something anyone recomended any good shocks, the car is my moms so i dont need anything performance based, but more luxury! thanks
try alignment and see what happen. If you go at over 60mph and the car is not as stable as should be, and if you notice the shift nope moving up and down then you need an alignment definately.
sounds to me like your shocks are blown. Usually when you have blown shocks when you go over a bump your car will bounce up and down pretty roughly because there is no more pressure in the shocks to keep it stable.
I dunno about price, here's just a GUESS (off top of my head) I'm thinking prolly around $400 for some nice Bilsteins. Just take a look online and see what you can find. Also try the Classified forum and maybe post a thread in the LS400 Classified stating that you are looking for some shocks for your car.
after market shocks are better in performance but you'll loose that soft lexus ride. i tried after market shocks and springs but i ended up going back to stock. good luck
Bilstein are a little stiffer then Tokico shocks from what I heard.
Tokico is what I have with 1" Eibach springs and the ride quality didn't change much at all.
