My ls400 was working perfectly fine until yesterday when all of the sudden the sub woofer and all the speakers except for the one on the rear right door panel. The speaker is also very weak. When I turn up the volume all the way the sound is still very low as if it was turned jus a bit from the begining. What is the problem? is it the amp?

 

Sounds like the amp.

 

There are also a couple of fuses (Radio1 and Radio2), out of which the first one is under the steering wheel (but that one is probably alright, as it's for the head unit). The second one is in the front and that one is for the amps.

Wait where is the second fuse located? under the hood?

 

might be that all the speakers blew out except that one..

It's in the electrical box behind the battery. (On my 95 it's a 20A fuse.)
To find the one under the steering wheel, you have to get on your knees and remove a cover below and slightly to the left of the steering wheel. (The cover is about 4x5" or so.) There you'll find some 30-40 fuses too.

The OEM speakers blew out. I had this happened to me and tried to troubleshoot it. I replace my speakers with aftermarket ones and they worked.

 

Even though my speakers all worked and the OEM stereo actually sounded quite good, I wanted a modern head unit. In short, I went all the way and replaced my whole audio system with new 6.5" speakers in custom baffles in all four doors plus a Rockford Fosgate compact 12" sealed sub box only about 5 gallons big) in the back. That was a lot of work, but if you want to/have to replace the speakers do consider to at least upgrade them to uptodate speakers. There is plenty of information on how to put e.g. 5 1/4" speakers in the door speaker boxes, both here and on http://www.lexls.com (audio section).

Nice. I am in the process of gathering parts for my audio upgrade.

 

I have a similar problem on my 96. I get full sound on the front left but distorted low volume on the others.

This is probably due to a loose wire as the sound did come back for a little while on all the rest of the speakers. Sounded very nice while it lasted.

Anybody have a wiring diagram for the speakers?

No hurry as its close to freezing outside and I don't mind waiting until its more comfortable to work outside.
