Yes, it's true, I just got the car yesterday and found out today that the passenger door doesn't lock with the remote. It does, however, with the key, thank God. Is this a known issue? I mean obviously, the lock works, but just not via remote.

Any information would help before I take it in to get an expensive answer .

if you use the electronic lock switch inside the car (driver's side for example) will it lock the passenger side? if not, its probably the door lock actuator.

 

I have the same issue but just with the driver's door. All others lock and unlock with the remote, except the driver's door.

As PD mentioned, it's probably the actuator. Haven't bothered to check it yet, though.

 

I can hear it trying to unlock/lock, but it doesn't work. Still works with the key and manually from inside the car though. I just found the lock actuator DIY if anyone else is looking for this. There's apparently a little motor much like toy car motor that powers the actuator. Much cheaper to perform the transplant than going to the dealer:
