Default 92 vs 93+ LS400?

Shopping for a LS, I like the bigger wheels on the 93+ but there is a 92 LS400 on the classified with a reasonable price.

What are the difference between the years of the LS in question.

I know that Lexus up grade the brake rotor but I don't know the spec. on it. Is it bigger rotors? thicker?
would a 93 rotor fit without upgrade the wheels from 15" to 16"?
A/C was changed from R12 to R134a.

What other things should I look for?

TIA

Default 93 LS

We had a 93 LS. I seem to remember that the suspension was also firmed-up a bit from the 90-92 models.

Hint - Do NOT get a model with the air suspension. Front replacement-$2,400; Rear - $1,600.

The difference in the 90-92 and 93-94 LS is this:

1) bigger wheel option (yeah, 16" )
2) air intake is redone for better air flow and 1-2 more HP
3) better sound system with a 10" sub compared to the 90-92 8" sub
4) firmer suspension setup
5) no more cloth interior option on the 93-94
6) little creature comfort things are upgraded

Other differences noted from 92 to 93
93 has...

passenger airbag
A/C filter
Door open indicator on instrument panel
Digital odometer (not rotating numbers)
lighted front seat belts

Thank you all for replying,

Was 93 the first year LS400 has the ambient temperature gauge?
Where is it located? Does it has the interior temperature also?

93/94 DO NOT have a 10" sub. It's 8" throughout 90-94 years.Otherwise I think all the differences have been mentioned.

I have also heard from various sources that the 93/94's were the more reliable of the UCF10/11 series...

UCF10/11 is the "JDM way" to refer to cars. They don't refer to them by "years", rather by manufacturer code. They also use MC (Minor Change)...~MC which means Before MC or MC Before. MC~ means After MC or MC After...

UCF10/11 = 1990-1994 LS400
UCF20/21 ~MC = 1995-1997 LS400
UCF20/21 MC~ = 1998-2000 LS400
UCF30/31 = 2001 LS430+

JZS147 = 1993-1997 GS300
JZS16x ~MC = 1998-2000 GS300/GS400
JZS16x MC~ = 2001 GS300/430+
(there is a "x" in there because the JZS161 is the turbo model which we don't get...the NA [normal aspirated] GS300 is called the JZS160...the GS430/400 doesn't exist in Japan but if it did, it would most likely be labeled UZS-160...I just use JZS-16x for simplicity sakes since with all the 2nd generation GS's are pretty equivalent in terms of aftermarket kits working on them...)

JZZ30 = 1992-2001 SC300
UZZ30 = 1992-2001 SC400
UZZ40 = 2002 SC430+
