THe GS300/400/430.....RX.....LX.....all have chrome under the paint...Is it the same with your LS's?

Yup!......If you take paint thinner....You should be able to remove the paint on top of your grill "Hypothetically".

If you look real closely you should see some shinney chrome where rocks hit your grill and removed the paint.

Isn't front LS grill made out of plastic? If it is, it can't be chrome for sure.

There are plastics out there which have metal imbedded called "Metalized platic" which can be chromed and can be used for rf sheilding. What lexus does is fully chrome your grill, then paint over everything except the trim and the lexus logo.

Now since you spoke up Retro....GO CHECK YOUR GRILL!

I had my insurance company buy me another grill because mine was cracked. It is made of plastic and did not have any chrome in it even after scraping it.

If anyone knows otherwise let me know.
