Default 94 ls400 radiator fan problem??

so i have notice recently that both the fans in front of the radiator have been turning on at around 1000 rpms.
both fans turn on when i first start up the car, then when the car is warmed up the fans stops. and when i rev it past 1000 rpms the fans turn on again.
i then turn on the ac to see if just one fan turns on and none of the fans are on.
i havent notice any different in the way the car behaves, like power loss or anything.the car runs normal just that its a louder due to the fans.
i'm having a hard time figuring out if that is normal or not because it wasnt doing this till a couple weeks ago.
can someone chime in??

thanks-

so the only problem you're experiencing is a loud noise because of the fans? nothing with the temperature of the car?
as of last night my car has been over heating, one click above the 'normal temperature'.. checked the fans in park and they were off.. when are the fans even supposed to turn on?

nah nothing temperature wise..its the same as always a little before the middle mark.

what is the normal temp suppose to be at anyways??
and i think the fans were suppose to turn on when the ac is on or when the engine gets hot..but im not too sure thats why im asking.

the normal temperature would be dead centre.. that's what mine used to be until it messed up, i will be getting the thermostat changed tomorrow, hopefully that'll solve my over-heating problem
any luck with the fans?

so now more info on this problem..
the fans in front of the radiators(both) stay on on startup then goes away when the car is warmed up and comes on when the car is rev'd..
has anybody encounter this problem or know whats up?? im thinking it is a faulty relay..but not sure.
