Transmission needs more fluid. Try about 1/2 liter.

Check the transmission fluid level. Also may need to do drain and fill using Toyota ATF Type T-IV fluid. You can get this cheaper from you local toyota dealer than you local lexus dealer; is the same fluid used. Lexus trans. are VERY SENSITIVE and the wrong fluid just does not agree with them. Whatever you do, just make sue you use the right fluid.

Check the color of your fluid it should be bright red, if it is brown dark brown or black get the fluid changed. I change my own fluid every 20,000 using a trans cooler I just pump 8 quarts from the cooler hose and refill I do this every 20,000 miles. I have 220,000 miles on the trans and it seems ok although I am using Mobil one synthetic tranny fluid so far no problems. I also pump my power steering at the same time also using Mobil one synthetic trans oil so far no leaks. I also drain the block and radiator every 2 years using toyota fluid and distilled water and I still have all the original hoses on a 1991 lexus I don't flush the system I just fill it up again. The tech's at the Lexus school here in Irvine CA are the people who told how to keep a lexus for 500,000 miles and more. I also drain the rear end every 30,000 miles and replace the oil there.
