I ordered the Eagle Eyes kit. I'm not so sure about the HID conversion -- it seems the lighting folks are unimpressed with this. I'll have the mechanic deal with the wiring issues. The car also needs valve cover gaskets replaced (so may as well check the clearances), and I'm definitely not keen on doing that myself.

BTW, for H4 (9003) bulbs, I'm considering the Philips Xtreme Power (which has the same electrical load but more light output than stock bulbs) or a higher wattage bulb like the Osram 70/65w. The latter is appealing if the 1990 LS400 electrical system is sufficiently overengineered for the extra load. Both seem to be better choices than the blue-painted Sylvania Silverlight.

I suppose a hotter bulb might also degrade the reflector faster; hmm.

it's not a hotter bulb. Just different technology same wattage as a standard 9003. Oily when you do your retrofit update us I may go that way but with the xtreme bulb not the HID

Ordered a set of eagle eyes from ebay for my sisters 94. The lighting is dramatically improved and comes with new bulbs too! The corners will take some getting used to but all in all i'm very impressed. She's thinking about HID's if i can find a good bixenon kit for decent $$

I believe these headlights are a necessity and for about $220 shipped, well worth it! You could always get some money back by selling the old ones.

Sides look a lot better than the Eagle Eyes for the 93-94, that's for sure.

Just ordered some Eagle Eyes out of necessity for my 94. Both of my light assemblys have broken mounts so this is a much cheaper alternative than oem.
Already had the HID but never installed it.

Does the metal diffusor in front of the bulb need to stay in place when you switch to Xenon with the Eagle Eyes?

Update: See where folks are calling it a "shield" so I guess it stays.

Cool, done with that.
One last question, where are you guys mounting the 2 ballast??
I need to get on this tomorrow I have been driving around with only the headlights & corners for a month or more. 2 broken fogs got thrown in the trash.
The headlights are currently "floating" in the broken housings. Just put in the "HIDextra" bulbs to prepare for install.

With the eagle eyes, what's the light pattern and output look like compared to stock? Also curious bout what the light output and light pattern looks like with hid's installed. One more question, has anyone taken the shield outa the fogs? If so, how did it look?
