Trac code 45 and surging idle! HELP!
guys, i need help bad!
My trac light keeps going off. i got the code and i'm gettin code 45. "When idle switch is ON, main throttle position sensor signal is 1.5V or higher"
what does this mean? does it have anything to do with my crazy idle? Do i just need a new TPS? If the car is in D my idle will fluctuate up and down, to the point where my car will stall out.
Also, i have another problem, i just changed my sparks, wires, caps, rotors. I drained a little coolant because the rad hose was in the way. anyway, i put all the coolant back, but my car keeps trying to overheat. It wont really overheat at idle, but when goin up a hill or putting constant strain on the engine. Car will not overheat at all if i have the heater max(or close to).
At first i thought i might have air in the system. I bled it and made sure there enough coolant. Car still tries to overheat. AGH!!!!
My car was perfect a month ago
car has 262k btw. i hope i can figure this out.
Thanks guys.
