i have been reading about the treads here on this site about the trunk wires making the car acting crazy!!!well i found the problem that was causing my car to act that way!! the altenator ground wire is bad and corroded!!!! as soon as i step on the pedal,it loses power but if i've drive normal its ok!i've called lexus and they want to sell the whole wire harness for a 1,000.00 dollars for the harness but the junkyard wants half for that,also!! does anyone know a way that i can replace or splice the wire with an battery cable??? i need help,going on a road trip this weekend!!

 

if it's a wire.. can't you just replace it.. clearly i know nothing about the trunk issue other than them being a major pain

 

lextreme sells low gauge alternator cables maybe those could help.
