Default Wheel Fit Guide

So is the tire wheel fitment thread in the SC forum a good gauge for the LS's.
I'm considering spacers on the LS with 18x9 front and 18x10 rear, 245 40 and 275 40. Trying to figure out what size spacer I could go without rolling and pulling the fenders.......well maybe a little rolling, I did that on my first car....a Datsun 510, back in the day.

first off, you cannot use the SC wheel guide for the LS. we have more room in some places and less in others.

ehh, width and tiresize is useless if you don't tell us the offsets...

There lies my problem, my 98 I got from my younger bro, who got it from the Old Man. He put the rims, tires, struts and springs on it, and he doesn't remember what the offsets are. I had TT Supra rims on my 93, they fit like these rims fit, so I'm guessing it's like a TT fitment.

Anything stamped on the rims that will tell the offset?

Right now I can fit two fingers between the rear rim and the fender at a 45 degree angle, two and a half on the front.

Is it going to be a situation of trial and error? Go to a shop and try on spacers, like shoes??

Yeah.....if I went that rout I'd have to flare the fenders. Not a fan of the tire hanging outside of the fender.
I did that to the 510, I was into the full on SCCA race car look, and ride. Flared fenders, built motor, loud exhaust, no interior except for two fiberglass seats with a little padding on them.

+25....I'll be reliving my youth, girls weren't into SCCA, maybe I can get my wife into the back seat of the LS..........Nah, she would just complain that her head keeps banging into the baby seat

its hard to come up with a single fitment guide for the LS because the 1st gen and 2nd gen have such different fitments...

why dont you just messure out from the face of the rim and figure out how much more you want it to move out?

Mahalo 1Big,

Was thinking the same thing, it looks like I can go another inch. There is a new shop that just opened near me, I'm going to stop in and see if they have spacers, see what they say.

I wanted to gather some info here, so I can pretend I know what I'm talking about. I know one thing....this isn't rocket science!

still waiting for offsets...

some wheels will have the offset cast in, most will have a label/sticker on the inner barrel

normally in the format of "ET45" or "ET+45" or etc...
