Question I searched for wheel fitment 1st: 96 ls

I have searched on here for wheel fitment but I get different answers so I'm not sure. I think these wheels will fit without any issues from what I read, but not 100% sure. The car is a 96 LS and the wheels are 18" Privat Kontakt with a 30 offset 8.5" width in the front and 25 offset 9.5" in rear. I do not have a BBK on it and it is not lowered. I do not want to roll the fenders or use spacers if I do not have to. Also from looking at the car, it does not have much room in the wheel wells for wide tires so what is the widest tire front and rear for these wheels? Here is the EBay ad: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Thanks for your help guys.

will fit in front fine.. and rear fine also... if you lower you will need a lil smaller tire so it doesnt rub
and i would prob run a 235 or 245 max in front and 255 or 275 max rear

I will not be lowering it but I also do not want it to rub when the suspension fully compresses. Will the 245 front and 275 rear rub? I definitely would like wider tires in the back.

Thanks, James

brake clearance will still be an issue you for you unless those wheels are made to fit a BBK. your FACTORY brakes are 4piston opposed aluminum 2pc calipers and 315mm rotors in the front. they generally WILL NOT fit normal wheels that have not been made for larger brakes without a 10-15mm spacer.

the above applies for ALL 1995-2000 UCF2x Lexus LS400s and cars using the front brakes from them.

not so sure about running wheels at stock height, i'm telling you now that if you were lowered an 8.5 +30 front would need a roll flat. with the spacers you need its going to poke at stock height. not pretty.

if you arent sure, please ask or say so. it's easier than having misinformation spread around.

What wheel offset do you recommend for my car that will not be lowered and not stick out? I really do not want to go wider than a 9" wheel anywhere on the car but the wheel listed above just so happens to be a 9.5 wheel. The stock wheels look like hubcaps and they are ugly.

Thanks, James

My first set of wheels on my first ls was 19x8 +20 and 19x9.5 + 20. I had no issues rubbing in the front at stock height, however even at stock height, it rubbed pretty good in the rear with a 255/35. Just some food for thought. Car was a 95
