Default What octane have you been using?

With the gas price surges, how do you deal with it? Even though the lower octane prices are enticing, personally i still stick with 91. I recently went on a road trip and got 445/tank 91. I took a chance and dropped in some 87 on the way back and got 411/tank. So right there explains why i will continue to stay with premium. Besides, it will also keep your valves cleaner too.

Here in Denmark the lowest octane you can get is 92. I'm running 95... 98 or 99 is available on certain gas stations but very pricy

A minimum of 91 octane when rated by the RON+MON/2 method. Our friend in Denmark is probably seeing octane ratings in straight RON, which will be numerically higher than an R+M/2 rating when testing identical gasoline.

I only run BP ultimate, 98RON.

A small hand full of Shell petrol stations here sell 100RON, Shell Vracing they call it.

I run only Shell or Chevron premium, Costco if I'm in cheapskate mode.

I've been running 87 for the past three months with no ill effects and no loss in gas mileage.

91 octane for me. Not worth the few bucks in savings. I am getting about 456 miles per tank (with lowered car, 19inch wheels, dirty filter/plugs-changing this week).

I use 93, 97, and even 100 on my other cars/bikes. Gas $ isn't an issue.
