If you were going that route...just find a used Supra engine.

If you swapped out all of the electronics & the tranny (& its ECUs) & harnesses there is no reason it would not work.

Or depending upon your problem you could just utilize the short block from the newer 2nd gen motor.

Thanks all for all replays.

I have 200,000+ miles on my ’93 LS400 and a lot of thinks needs to be done for an engine. So I was thinking in stand of spending $1000+ for regulars services, just swap an engine with the low mileages.

I was looking for imported engine from Japan for 400-600 buks by the way does any one know where to find it?

Anyway I just found US 1UZ-FE SC400 engine 70,000 miles for $400. I think it is a good deal.

Why harness and ECUs needs to be change if it is a same engine type as 1UZ-FE LS400 engine.
How difficult is to changes harness and ECUs? What about Trans?

Thanks in advance!

by the sound of things its NOT for you....

it is a decent amount of labor, the SC and LS chassis wiring is COMPLETELY different.
