Default New Owner!

pulled the trigger on a 00 LS400.

I have some pics on my home computer so i'll try to post those up later.

It's a cream puff 2 owner. Owned by a retired couple in Florida who lived in an all inclusive community so food/golf/recreation/health care were all on site. This car sat in the garage until last year when a friend of mine drove down and purchased it with 30,000 miles on it.

He sold his Land Cruiser that he used to tow his boat and kept the LS considering his father had a truck he could use to pull the boat.

A few months ago his dad sold his truck, so my friend was in need of a tow vehicle. He sold me his car with only 43,000 miles on it.

Everything is in excellent shape. the ONLY thing i can find on it that is worn is a small place in the driver's seat from the old fella' getting in and out of the car.

This is by far the smoothest/quietest ride i have ever owned!

Look forward to many more years of joy with this car.

one mod i will search on, but if i took the car to a "good" stereo person, can i hook an ipod connection up to the OEM stereo?

Welcome to CL. Sounds like you got a nice LS. I remember driving a 2000 and it was really nice. It was more plush and of course quicker than my 95. Pure Drifter will chime in with regards to the iPod hard line as he has done it. Post photos next

I had gold on mine. Came home after I bought it, took them all off, painted them all chrome black, and looks great. Will post pics tomorrow.

Please do. The gold emblems and the wheels are the only two things i don't like about this car. My friend said she loves the gold emblems, but that's coming from a chick who drives a S500

I am going to have to thumb through the owners manual, but tell me how you set the memory seat? There are two buttons and then a set button. I pushed one, hit set, then hit it again, no worky. Tried to hold down seat one and the set button, no worky?

Here is my before and after of badges.

BEFORE GOLD BADGES

AFTER BADGES
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...2&postcount=37

I also did the front, but forgot to take the "after" pic. Will do it for you tomorrow.

For the seat memory, leave car in Park, keep the car on "on" position where all instrument cluster is on.

Then set your seat/steering where ever you want.

Hold DOWN the set button, while doing so press memory 1 or 2 which ever you want to be set.

There should be a "BEEP" sound acknowledging that the memory is done.

WALAH

WHEELS: I bought some wheels for it, will post pics tomorrow. Keep an eye out.

SIGNATURE: You may want to update it, since you now already have a LS

You can take them to powdercoater, but I don't have the patience, I want everything done yesterday, as you can tell

I can check the paint stuff and get back to you tonight. Am in the office now. I know it is the same stuff I painted my spoiler on my GTS corolla about 2 years ago, and it has stayed very nice over the 2 years, no problems.

i used a semi-gloss rattle can on my land cruiser wheels. Thought about using the same, but actually i would rather have just a hint of grey/silver in them.
