Default replace engine?

i am thinking about replacing my engine, i have had so many problems with this one and i have this code 25 coming on now, i can get an engine that has been sent from japan and it has 50,000 miles or less on it for $395.00....does anyone know if these motors will be a clean fit? meaning will the harnesses and sensors be the same? what about the injectors? any input from personal experience will be appreciated ...thanks

when you get an engine like that, you never know what's gong to come with it. yes it will fit right in if it's a celsior 1uz but it may just be the engine, no sensors, or anything else.
most likely, all your codes are not becuase of your engine, but rather the sensors, or wiring that you'll end up keeping even with a new engine.
what's the code 25?

it doesnt sound like your motor is the problem, seems like an electrical/ecu issue...

replacing the motor wont make much of a difference is indeed that is the case.

Isn't that most certainly a symptom of a bad Karman Vortex meter??

could be MAF, could be main o2 sensors, clogged/malfunctioning injectors..most likely front o2 sensors.

there are many other cheaper things to fix with a lean code than replacing the engine. the engine is not the problem. i'd get the car diagnosed at a good shop, either one that specializes in high end cars or the dealer. with a code like that, you need the factory scan tool to monitor the system; a small independt shop can't do that. they'll start throwing parts at it hoping something will fix it and bill you for everything.
the dealer with charge you 1 hour labor to diag it and then you'll know exactly what to fix. if it doesn't fix it, they'll diag. it again for free since they made a mistake the first time. sometimes the dealer is the way to go in certain instances.

The dealer makes mistake as well. In my case, the dealer charged $100 diag., replaced a wrong part, cost me $800.00 and still didn't work. I told them to take the part back and they said no because it was electrical part. They were the one replacing the part. They don't usually know even with the fancy machines they have.....So, I don't trust the dealer any more. It was a Chrysler LHS.

wow, i need to work for tha tdealer! any dealer i've ever worked at, if we misdiag something, we have to diag it again for free the next time and they take the part back. maybe you didn't complain enough....

oh, I complained. I even got BBB involved and they sided with the dealer. This was back in the 90s. Thinking about it raises my blood presure........Never the less, I never do business with them and I always tell my friends and acquaintences not to do bussiness with them. And I would not buy Chrysler again unless it's dirt cheap.

Get the injectors pulled and cleaned for real.

I got code 25 on my old 91 LS and that fixed it 100%
