hey guys, im actually on here to help out a friend in need.
i'm helping him do some audio work tomorrow and need to know how/if you can put the backseats down in a 1997 LS 400. the previous owner wired an amp to a custom mount on the back of the seats in the trunk and i cant for the life of me figure out how to remove it, so im tryin to go from the front side. i tried the search function first, so dont bother flaming me hah, any help would be appreciated. - at least how to access the speakers in the rear deck. thanks again -

 

You cant 'put the back seat down' in an LS400 since there is no pass-through because of the fuel tank. You'll have to remove the entire rear seat to get to the pass-through area.

Just wondering, is all that sound deadening supposed to be there on all UCF1X's???

I say this because mines did not have it, and the back seat had been removed before by the previous owners... so yeah...

 

I'm kinda curious about that as well. I dont believe the previous owner of my car ever removed the rear seat and there was no sound deadening there.
