Random Oil Light '91
I know... these engines are amazing. My old 1990 LS400 had 252K and it never went down from "full" on the dipstick between the 3K oil changes. My current 91' LS400 is the same. It has 210K and no changes in the oil level between changes. Amazing these engines.
I was looking at a 91' Land Cruiser, which are supposedly bullet-proof, but despite "only" 201K, the owner said it was using a quart of oil between changes.
Not sure what was going on there... not sure if it was a leaking, or burning it. He wanted to trade it to me for my LS400 and I would have done it, not for that issue.
The 92-96 Camry 4-cylinders are notorious for oil leaks. My aunt has a 93' Camry LE that has had an oil leak for years. They have had it "repaired" several times, but it continues to leak. It has been so low on so many occasions that her oil warning light illuminates, but she moves on with it.
She only drives it occasionally now, because she has a 2003 Yukon. She is a real estate agent and takes the Camry on the rough roads.

Hobojoe,
I think your idea is a good one I looked at the auto-rx com above and I have never heard of them and I know most companies who try and sell different types of car/cleaner I don't feel that a lexus engine needs anything but good oil changes and a good run down the freeway for about 10 miles each direction to clean out the oil and carbon the guys at lexus said just use good oil and change it often.
