Default Light Bulb Question...1st Post

Hello fellow Ls400 owners. I own a second gen Lexus Ls400. I just found this website today and it looks promising. So i have a question... i have xenon lights for my head lights but my two corner lights are the standard factory yellow color same with the bumper signal lights... could you guys give me some links or the name of the specific type of lightbulb i should buy if i want to switch them to white? Thanks For your help..... LEXUS LS OWNS!!!!

Parking lights 194/168
Side Markers 194/168
Front turn signal 7440

You can try v-leds.com if you want some nice white LEDs. They also have a discount code especially for our forum.

Well, in a GS with HID light, the best "wedge" bulb that matches factory HIDs color as close as possible is Polarg M4. Theres a huge thread on this in the Lighting forum, with pictures. The thread seems to conclude that LEDs just dont work well, and the two bulbs that work nicely are Polarg M4 and M6, but the M6 is overpowered and can blow up inside the housing, so M4 is the sensible choice.

It's CLUBLEX, it'll give you 10% off whole your purchase. I bought my LEDs on ebay though, same quality from hong kong, a lot cheaper but 3 weeks of waiting :/

Dont get leds. They arent bring enough, and wont illuminate the whole housing. Just get Polargs - they are a bit expensive, but M4's will last for years and match your HIDs very nicely.

I was thinking of either getting the V-LEDs 194 lights for the city lights on my GS430 but now I see some people are saying Polargs M4 are very good or the best. The Polargs M4 are cheaper and pretty much half the price of the V-LED 194 bulbs, I have not heard of people complaining the V-LED 194 is not bright enough. I am more or less looking to get rid of that ugly stock dull color and have something white or even a tinge of blue/purple and maybe a little brighter and something a little closer looking to compliment the HID. What looks better Polargs or V-LED and what is better quality or lasts longer, is V-LED worth paying more for? Where is a good place to order Polargs from?

Well, this is my GS430 with stock HID, Polarg M4 and HID fogs. As you can see, the Polarg matches stock HID's perfectly. I have no idea how well the V-LEDs will work.

Thanks for the pic Och, seems like you are happy with your Polarg M4, how long have you had them and where did you order them from? The Polarg M4 bulbs that I see on the internet are blue even though they say super white, is there a bluish tinge to them when they are on? I don't mind if there is a slight blue to them, just kind of want to know.

I bought them on ebay in the end of 2006, and they are still working, so they are defenately a quality product. They do have a blue tint to them, so when they are lit, their light output is similar in color to HID's and LEDs. In fact I bought a few more sets of these bulbs to install them into my LS400 parking lights to match the HIDs, and to fit them in the rear license plate lights on both cars.
